things we do

hey friends,

its been a while demand on macaroon has been marvelous. thank you so much for your support.

ramai yg tanya apa lagi breadnbutter bleh buat. kita sebenarnya ada ambil tempahan kek utk b'day, kek bertunang, kek utk perkahwinan dan pelbagai jenis door gift seperti cupcakes, muffins, biskut,chocolate n latest skali macaron.

so here r some of our previous work. I really hope you like it. pasal harga jangan risau boleh dibawa berbincang. breadnbutter bekeerja mengikut budget anda

hi frenz....
its nice to join bazaar again! my 2 kids are bigger now not that big to help but at least they understand when i asked them to behave. crying n fighting at times biasa la siblings. kecian chika slalu kena beralah but what to do the price you have to pay for being the eldest. she help me to do the poster. since she loves art stuff so i made her colour our poster. thought i think its comot, pople at the bazaar seems to like it. people who passed by our booth most of them wants to take a picture with our poster. i thought she didn't realise it, but went we were about to sleep on saturday night, she said, "mami ramai org tangkap gambar kat painting chika lain kali chika nak jual painting chika la". well i guess i hv a young or future artist here instead of a successor emmmm...

while people were buying macaron like crazy at our booth, roti john by aman was even crazier. people start to order just as they see aman carrying his cooking stuff out from the car. from the moment the stove was on, he didn't stop at all. he manage to sell 54 pcs in 2 and a half hour. is dat crazy or wat? well done!!! my macaron takes 5 hour to finish. not forgetting tembosa by ash sakti who came at 5pm and sold 85pcs by 7pm. well done breadnbutter, alhamdulillah everything finished n we get great reviews about our food that we sell dat day.

some of the compliments were:

1) Hisham Harun, Editor of Madam Chair said my choc mint macaron is like eating godiva chocolate. what a gila statement make wanna fly as tis my fav choc. ohg hisham you are being too nice

2) rara n bf from rara vintage had 3 roti john n 15pc of macaroon. oh btw they said my macaron not as sweet as else where n the maple custard.

3) sheena n marzuki from sheena marketplace had 10 macaron n few roti john. marzuki said we should change the nam to roti aman because our version is soooo not like the one he ussually had tested.

4) shahida from button my button just go speechless went she had the first bite of our roti john

5) mariam's mother bought the hold red velvet cake. she bought one slice and said "wow this it's soooo nice tak rasa muak n tak manis sangat.

6) not forgetting tones of compliments about our ice lemon tea. what a discovery. breadnbutter owe this this special recipe to pn zainun ali(kak neng)

and many more on the bijou bazaar blog n sms. thanks guys im so glad that you like it.

well other than that we met allot of new n old faces. the right crowd make everthing so intereting. my booth neightbors were so cool i mean we chat n we help to promote each other's booth they also help to jaga chika n pipot. THANKS GUYS.....the you guys are sweetest.

cool stuff were sold there n its also very cheap. chika bought a hairband for RM1 and a casio hot pink watch by tokoku. so next time you want to shop google for the next bijou bazaar n you'll be sooo surprise. cool place, cool crowd n cool stuff to all my friends dat came thank you soooo much......the ones dat couldn't come but wish us all the best, thank you toooo....dont worry more bazaars to come..c u at the next bazaar. but before i forget we'll be at frinjan bazaar on 9th April so come la and experiance frinjan with us. hope to see you there.

we are selling macaron

due to hot demand on macaron we are now posting and selling macaron by bread&butter.

thank you to all the people from bijou bazaar who supported us n gave us great comments on how to make it better. to those who have never tried do give our macaron a try. Its not as sweet and the flavours are just not as wat u will find in the market.

Hai semua.....

Rasa nyer semua mesti biasa dengar pasal macaron. Ia merupakan satu trend mengantikan cupcakes. Fenomena macaron menjadi-jadi apabila kebanyakan kedai kek di pusat membeli belah ternama menjualnya. apa yg menarik perhatian umum dan saya juga adalah warnanya yg meriah dan pelbagai serta perisa yg menarik. Rupanya yang juga sangat sekata dan elegan membuatkan ia menjadi pilihan sebagai bukan saja hadiah untuk hari istimewa tetapi juga sebagai door gift untuk apa jua majlis.

Selalu kita tersilap dimana sebutan dan berganggapan macaron dan macaroon adalah biskut yg sama. Walaupun bahan asas biskut ini adalah sama iaitu gula dan telur putih tetapi ianya berbeza.

Macaroon (sebutannya ma-ka-run) adalah macam meringue bentuknya tak sekata dan lebih keras. Resepi yg biasa kita google bawah tajuk macaroon adalah macaroon kelapa. Sementara macaron (sebutanya ma-ka-ron) adalah satu biskut dari paris. Ianya terdiri dari 2 biskut yg dicantumkan oleh krim. Menurut kawan blog saya yg berasal dari perancis, macaron yg bagus adalah apabila biskut yg dibuat mempunyai permukaan yang rata dan sedikit bersarang di bawahnya. Biskut ini apabila dicantumkan dengan krim adalah lebih baik disimpan di dalam peti sejuk dahulu selama 24 jam. Ianya akan jadi lebih sedap untuk dinikmati. Macaron sepatutnya keras diluar tetapi di dalam lembut umpama diisi sepenuhnya dgn krim.

baru-baru ni saya beli satu buku bertajuk MAD ABOUT MACARON BY JILL COLONNA. Brtul kata beliau tak kenal maka tak Cinta pada macaron. Pada mulanya saya hanya suka makan tak pernah buat. Tapi sekarang dah pandai buat sbb bila dah mula mmg tak bleh berhenti sbb nak buat sampai jadi. Kalau nak cuba ni resepinya.

1. pengayak
2. Parchment paper
3. badam
4. gula icing
5. gula castor sugar
6. telur putih
7. mangkuk
8. nosel bulan no. 5
9. beg piping

150g telur putih
100g gula castor
180g badam ditumbuk halus
270g gula icing

1. pukul telur putih sehingga kembang kemudian masukkan gula castor.

2. campurkan badam yg ditumbuk halus dengan gula icing yg sudah diayak

4. campurkan bahan kering ke adunan telur putih

5. masukkan adunan dalam beg piping dengan nosel no 5.

6. paipkan atas kertas parchment dalam saiz kecil ckit dari syiling 50 sen dan jaraj dalam 5 sentimeter antara satu sama lain.

7. biarkan untuk 10 ke 15 minit.

8. bakar pada suhu 160 selama 14 minit

200g mentega
400g gula icing
½ sudu kecil perasa

1. pukul mentega dan gula hingga kembang

2. masukkan perasa dan pukul lagi untuk 2minit

3. setelah siap boleh terus paip pada biskut yg tlah sejuk.

4. macaron adalah lebih sedap jika disimpan semalaman didalam peti sejuk selama 24 jam sebelum dimakan.

Cuba la ada org yg try bertahun untuk dapat buat macaron yg betul jadi jangan kecewa dan putus asa kalau kali pertama buat tak jadi k. Cuba dan cuba lagi. Kalau tak pun order jer dari saya. Sbb sekarang bread&butter ada jual macaroon

ras adiba - company anniversary cake

a day is perfect with just a piece of cake. Its not everyday dat i have a customer that is so outgoing a fun and willing to have a black cake. thanks to Ras Adiba my dream came through. Its tyhe best cake i have work on so far as this is the cake i have been dying to do not just a black cake but a cake that make me feel im a part of the movie sex n the city. I sure enjoy doing it and hope kak ras do so to.
